The year-long review of the Dynamic Media Institute (DMI) at MassArt, conducted from 2023 to 2024, examined the program's evolution and future direction. Founded in 2000 by Jan Kubasiewicz, DMI transitioned from the Graphic Design MFA into a forward-thinking program that embraces the changing nature of design. Over 25 years, DMI has adapted to shifts in technology, design, and leadership. The review, aligned with MassArt’s Strategic Plan Refresh, focused on the impact of COVID-19 and social concerns on higher education, resulting in key insights and recommendations for DMI's future. Review committee members included: Lucinda Bliss, Associate Provost Camellia Sousa, Associate Dean Fish McGill, Program Director Martha Rettig, former Co-Director (2018–2022) Seth Abrahamson, DMI student (2025) Nadia Savage, Graduate Programs Manager
